Welcome
East Bay Youth Orchestras

Founded in 1986

EBYO, East Bay Youth Orchestra, is a community-based nonprofit organization started by parents, teachers, Cal State faculty, and music professionals to augment school instrumental programs of San Francisco East Bay and the surrounding communities.  EBYO provides high quality group instrumental instruction and symphonic orchestral experience.  It is governed by its Board of Directors, who are responsible for policy determination and administration of the Orchestra.

Both our Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra rehearse once a week at California State University East Bay Campus located in Hayward, California. Rehearsals vary in length from 60 minutes for Concert Orchestra (6:00 - 7:00 pm) to two hours for Symphony Orchestra (7:15 pm - 9:15 pm), our most advanced group.

EBYO holds five public concerts each year, in September, November, December, March and May.
