Meet the EBYO Board
Vera Tranlong, Board President
Vera has served on the board of EBYO since 2015 and spearheaded many new initiatives to build community and increase awareness of the organization, including: reaching out to local charter schools to provide afterschool music lessons, starting our holiday sensory friendly concert tradition, partnering with Hayward Rotary through their grant program to fund that service concert, finding a graphic artist to donate skills to create our current logo, and researching different Hayward venues for practices and concerts. She is very grateful to our outgoing board president, and knows that without Carol’s many years of service her two sons would not have had the opportunity to play cello for this organization starting when they were in elementary school. While she knows she has a class act to follow, she will do her best to to keep the program vibrant and welcoming so as many young musicians will have the same positive, life enriching experiences as her sons.
